Felt very sad when I heard about this news. But everything has an end in our life and so as this. unable to express but its life and we need to get used to it. The prince of kolkata will be no more on the cricketing field. His last outing will be the test series against aussies, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2008.

He has been my inspiration all the time thru his 16 years of cricketing career and will be through out my life. I learned many things from him. The way to lead a team,the leadership qualities, the meaning for the word aggression and also the incessant confidence and determination that he showed all the way till the end in his career. He was unstoppable. Hats off to Saurav Ganguly!!!

He was one of the greatest and most successful captain India had so far. Indian cricket was in a golden run under his captaincy, which reached the World Cup final in 2003. Many memorable series under his belt made him the greatest captain of India all time. The most prolific opening partnerships between Ganguly and Sachin needs a special mention. They hv been the best openers in ODI till now and no one can imagine of overtaking their opening records. They both created history in all the record tables. They have 26 hundreds and 29 fifties opening partnership and a total of 8227 runs between them. Only Hayden and Gilchrist opening pair tried to draw close but lost in the race by a long way. Ganguly is also one among sachin and jayasuriya to reach 10000 runs, 100 wickets and 100 catches in ODI in the world. He also has the most sixes by an Indian in international cricket. how can one forget his sixes ??? Simply Amazing !!!

He needs to be respected for his tremendous and marvelous contributions to the Indian Cricket. He brought in the belief to the Indian cricket after the match fixing scandals in 2000. He innovated the concept of youngsters which later has become a threat for his own place in the team. Whatever, the world is going to miss an amazing cricketer. More than a cricketer, he will be respected as a wonderful human being. All the very best for ur future dada !!!

The Warrior Prince - Starring Saurav Ganguly

The prince of kolkata is back in the team for the much awaited India-Australia series. The fight is on between the two top cricketing nations who will fight for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2008. This series will be testing period for the FAB FOUR of Indian cricket. The whole India is expecting the Old horses to fire in all corners. Meanwhile, The Prince Of Kolkata, the WARRIOR PRINCE,and the Former India captain Sourav Ganguly will soon be seen in action in front of the camera in a one-hour twenty minute-long documentary feature that will showcase the ace cricketer's journey from right from his childhood days.

Titled 'The Warrior Prince', the docu-feature is being produced and directed by Mitali Ghosal, a sports journalist turned filmmaker, who struck upon the idea of making the docu-feature on Ganguly after seeing his first century at the Eden Gardens in the recent Pakistan's tour of India. He is the one who is known as the best come back man in this cricketing world.

"It will be a documentary-cum-feature... In the sense, it will not only feature Ganguly's cricketing highs and lows with the facts and figures, but it will also include his personal life, with inputs from his wife (Dona), brother (Snehashish), father (Chandidas) and also many of his friends.

"Many things in Ganguly's life are still unknown... How he became a cricketer.>??.. And that too a left-hander, being right handed in all the other things he does... The docu-feature will be peppered with such small but interesting things.
"Like an incident in that famous England tour in 1996 when Ganguly made debut Test century. Ganguly was very hurt when the then skipper Mohammed Azharuddin jokingly asked the left hander: 'Have you done your shopping in England? To be released in English and Bengali, the film will have small interviews of Azharuddin, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh, Steve Waugh and Arjuna Ranatunga, among others, sharing their experiences with Ganguly. Ricky Ponting and Brett Lee are also on the look up during this Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2008. The shooting for the film has already started during the recent tour to SriLanka.The much awaited film will tentatively be released in December this year 2008.

Disaster continues ...

Disaster or tragedy ??? what ever we may call. Its continuing to play its role in my life through out the year, round the clock. The ugly fucking 2008. I dint even enjoy a day in this year. Everything gone the other way. Life is always shockable through my career. My dreams are getting shattered one by one. Nothing to say, Nothing to explain. Everything has happened and that is life. No but's and bcos's in life. We just hv to move on-> Patience is the key to success. But how long man?? the patience has gone even beyond the patience. My prof used to say me - " If u want to smell the taste of success dont wait for anything. Juz go ahead. Unless you sacrifice your desires, u will never win." I lost almost everything, my friends, my desires and last but not least i lost even my gal. i don think i can lose a much more precious thing in my life. But I cant even see the success coming my way. Its been the failure all the time. I dono wats happening around me. The harder i toil and the every step i fall, life teaches me new lessons throughout. But one thing i m very proud is that - No one can have a harder heart than me. Anyway lets see. I think the real game starts from now on. how long the fucking fate will rule me ?? Its all between me and my fate. Its been the fate all the way enjoying n dancing on its feet. But everything has an end but not my hope - it will glimmer till the world lives. Who is going to win the race ?? Is it me or my fate?? Watch out man... even the nameless will be named one day and dat day will be my day. The D-Day.!!!

The lifeless life ....

Life is very pathetic after the college days.. there is nothing to cheer about.. everything has become dull... the relationship within friends, the joy and enjoyment that we all had together.. the feeling of oneness.. the sparkling fights that we had rt from 1st year.. almost everything has vanished... the dear n close one are parting slowly n goin far as the days go very fast.. No one to share, no one to love, no one to care, no one to fight with, no one to console... everyone has changed... leading to a dead life altogether... the fire n spirit is vanishing within us... the days of rockin and non stop action had gone a long way.. becomin dull horses as the days go... Life has started to play its part on us... its time for us to toil n come out of this ugly world... its been a fantastic life all the way rt from our birth but the see saw is on the other side now... it has taken its trail on us... my dear god.. show us some way to come out of this sorrow filled living... we need our blissful life again...

2nd Test - 2nd innings - Dravid and Sachin

Dravid found it difficult when he came to the middle but the experience played the part in india's favour. He started spending some time in the middle and was rotating his strike well with the well settled gambir who was flowing freely at the other end. this worked out for the Indians as well as dravid. once his eyes was set, he too started his natural game n played some fantastic shots all over including his famous back ward cover drive. When they both, dravid and gambir were set for a huge partnership, the highly unimaginative happ.the well set gambir was removed of a beauty from mendis n he stood agape juz watching the delivery removing his bails off. As we was walking back to the pavilion, the roar started from all over. THe man, the master and the god was on his way to enter the galle ground the last time in a test match. The man was overwhelming with confidence as he was fully shaved an was looking just like the 16 year old boy who made his debut 16 years ago in the international arena, The Young Sachin Tendulkar. He came n hammered mendis all over the park which started with a huge hit for a four coming down the track. Both the experienced played well and showed the world who they are and in the business which they are best for. Sachin started with a good runrate scoring with run a ball n dravid was rock solid at the other end. The broken WALL was getting cemented AT THE other end and sachin was roaring at them whenever the opportunity comes. when the time came for jayawardane to go agape, the unbelievable happenend yet again. Sachin gone for edging a widish delivery from vaas which went straight to the hands of the lankan captain. Sachin fell to the well set trap laid by the lankans. When i was on the verge to finish off, miracles started happ for the srilankan camp. This time it was Dravid who fell to murali this time. The umpires turned down his appeal but when they went up for the review he was adjudged lbw but dravid was not at all happy with the decision. the moment to rejoice for the srilankans.

Only when experienced, one can feel the worth of it, unless otherwise we can just give a misnomer to define it. It is uncomparable to almost anything in this world. Tamil Filmfare Awards - 55th

The 55th Tiger filmfare awards function was held in Nehru Indoor stadium, chennai. It was a grand occasion for all the artist in south india. It all started as Madhavan and Sindhura walked down to invite the huge audience to experience the show for a life time, the thousands of film-carzy fans cheered enthusiastically. It was a mind-boggling experiences for many who were assembled there. Luckily, even i was one amone them. I went along with my friends to the filmfare award function. It was such a great experience in my life and it was the first one. I was embarrassed to see such a cheerful crowd and it was a full house in the Nehru Indoor Stadium. We all enjoyed the four hours of scintillating entertainment. I had an heart full of satisfaction with grandeur and glamourous evening awards. It was a moment to cherish with my friends. It was a moment that misted all our eyes. I felt very proud to be one among the south indian fan and to be born in India to have such a wonderful experience and i would remember each n every second of the joy filled moment of the film fare award function. The film Paruthiveeran made a clean sweep with six awards that included the Best film Award, Best Actor and Actress Award. It was a ecstatic moment for sivakumar's family as Sivakumar himself bagged the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The first test between england and SA started with a bang in the world famous Lord's. England won the toss and elected to bat first in their home ground. They started the proceedings in s great stlye. They put a huge total on the score board in their first innings. England declared thier innings on 593 with remaining two wickets in hand. Then South africa continued thier run quest. But to their disappointment they were bundled out for a mere 247, around 350 runs behind the strong England side who came into this tournament with a bundle of confidence as they named an unchanged team for the last 6 test matches. The poor SA attack had to face all these troubles from the boosted England Team. SA was forced to follow on and their second innings had some hope of fight. Hundreds from captain Graeme Smith and fellow opener Neil McKenzie on sunday gave south africa hope of forcing what would be a remarkable draw against England in the first test at Lord's. SA heading into Monday's final day were 242 for one - still needing another 104 runs to make England bat again. But importantly they lost just one wicket during the whole of Sunday's play and with the pitch still proving to be a good one for batting. Impressively this was south aftica's tenth test first wicket partnership of 200 or more and more impressively, Smith had now featured in seven of them.
England's attack were going to have a produce something special to take the remaining nine wickets they needed to have a chance of going 1-0 up in this four match series. But as of now this first test tastes like its gonna be another draw to be added up to the history of test cricket. On the whole this test match turned out to be one the greatest match all the way for both the teams. Both the teams have several pros and cons to be taken up from this test match. Why does India always get trapped in BIG tournaments? Why does it happen everytime? And the record show it.. Its worse. India's last 22 finals. 18 - losses, 2- Won, 2 - Shared. It is exactly the other way round. This seems devastating.

Excess of everything is bad. The amount of cricket that Indian cricketers have played over the last few months has been too much and they have been playing continuously. Sleep - A necessity

Sleep is a natural state of bodily rest observed throughout the animal kingdom. Sleep is a temporary state of unconsciousness, which restores the neurotransmitters that are utilized in the course of the day. they are chemical messengers used in nervous system for its routine function. In addition, the non stop organs such as heart and lungs relax during deep sleep and work with ease, That is why the heartbeat, respiratory rate and BP come down during deep sleep. Though it depends on the physical and mental activity, normally 6-8 hours of sleep is sufficient for an adult to replace neuro transmitters.
There are two types of sleep. Deep sleep or dreamless sleep and superficial sleep or dreadful sleep. In the course of the night, normally we start with deep sleep for about 90 minutes and this is followed by 20 minutes of superficial sleep and once again there is a repetition of this cycle as long as we sleep. Deep sleep relaxes out body, reduces our basal metabolic rate and refreshes us. The deeper the sleep a person has in the night, the more refreshed he will be on waking up. Superficial sleep is associated with dreams, rapid eye movement, increase in heart rate, irregular breathing and is not very refreshing.
It also leads to night mares, teeth grinding and hallucination. Techniques such as meditaion and exercises help eliminaaate superfcial sleep and induce deep sleep.
Do not sleep if you are really not sleepy, sa superficial sleep has no positive effect on your body. But the most importnat thing is we must feel fresh after getting up from sleep. Otherwise, the real benefit of sleep is lost.

Parents will need to make more of an effort to understand what children absorb from the media they consume. I dont say that TV should be fully avoided. It has so many positive points to number out. TV is very much essential in everyone's life not only children but all. Its a must need in our present century but what i want to say is, it should be in a right composition for each and every age group so that our people get maximum out of it.

STUNT FILLED MOVIE WITH A GOOD MESSAGE

The Incredible Hulk , superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character hit the theaters few days back. This film is really good. It has some exciting breath taking scenes. It was a huge treat for Hulk fans, watching the stunts specially on big screens. This movie is worth watching but at one point of time it got hectic for me. Seeing Edward Norton in the role of the physicist was another experience altogether. He kept the audience on tenterhooks as to when he will lose his temper again. It was like a ticking bomb. his character is worth a watch. I feel that Hulk is more of a monster than a super-hero. When it comes to action I like him, but he really become monstrous when he is angry. Altogether this movie has a good message. It tells us that anger is not always the best possible way to deal with any kind of difficulty. It also teaches us to support our loved ones during tough time. Its a perfect movie for all tweendom.

Gold, the yellow metal that has a very great power of pulling people, remains one of the good options for investment. Yet with its rising prices it too has reached a high platform that the common man could not easily reach. It was a similar lack of demand in the face of high prices that led to gold prices dropping from the record high in March to Rs 11,110 per 10gm by the end of April. So why are analysts so confident that the story wont be repeated?

Thats because of the combined effect of a rise in dollar prices of gold and the rise in the rupee value of the dollor itself. On May 1, the international price of gold was $853 per ounce. More than a month later, on June 13, it was only slightly higher at $866 per ounce. A change barely 1.5%. But in rupee terms prices had changed by 7.7% from Rs 11,104 per 10gm on May 1 to Rs 11,958 per 10gm on june 13. This was mainly because the rupee was depreciated by around 5.2% during the intervention period. The standard method of fixing domestic gold prices is to convert the dollor price into rupees and then add Rs 100 per 10gm for custom duty.

In my recent trekking experience i came across a wild Goliath Beetle. We found so many of them through our way, each one with different colours and sizes. This lead me to dig in deep about this beetle and I powered on my search engine to look about it. I was astonished to skim through the facts about it. It was really a woderful creation by god. Very few of us have seen the Goliath Beetle. It is a creature, which wears a natural armour. This makes it the heaviest flying insect in the world. Periwinkle a bright flower is useful in fighting cancer. A chemical extracted from it is used to manufacture a drug that treats blood cancer. Both the Goliath Beetle and periwinkle plant are to be seen in the rainforest regions. But today, just as we are beginning to realise the value of these rain forests, we are losing them fast. Rainforests which are one of Earth's greatest biological treasures, once coveres 14 percent of the earth's land surface. This area has now dwindled to 6 percent. Man has been destroying forests to gain land for industrial or civil purposes. Every second, about one and a half acres f rainforest disappear from the face of the earth. Short-signed governments and avaricious multinational companies see rainforests only as timber or prospective industrial estates. The forests have grown and evolved over centuries into a complex life-balance system. tampering with forests is tampering with human survival. This should make your heart beat faster. you would not have heard this before. Beleive it or not! Rowers have hearts that are among the biggest ever seen in healthy people. Recently i came across this article from US researchers who have a wide opinion about this. Rowers hearts are enormous, elongated, torpedo-shaped heartsw, twice the mass of a normal heart, that drew blood in likee a suction pump and push it out like a piston. The reason is that rowers use all the big muscles of their body, respectivelt contracting and relaxing them which puts a huge demand on the heart to supply those muscles with blood. In fact, rowing puts such strains on the heart that astronauts use rowing machines during space flights to try to maintain therir cardiovascular fitness. Interestingly, a study found that the heart growth increased as the intensity of the training increased.

Pele (Edson Arantes do Nascimento)

He is one of the greatest footballer of all time, former brazilian player. He was given the title of Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee. At the age of 17, Pele scored six goals in 1958 World Cup, inspiring Brazil to its first title. Making his club debut for Santos at the age of 15 in 1956, he remained with the club until 1974. He helped leas Santos to nine State Championships in 1962 and 1963. In the quarter-finals, Pele scored the winner against Wales, a Hat trick in the semifinals against France and two in the final against Sweden, Brazil won the 1958 World Cup and thus a Star was born.
